Happiness studies have shown that we have a baseline happiness we always return to. Good news is that psychologists have found that there is a way to increase baseline: learning to love the journey and not the destination. Or in short realizing that “life is what happens on your way to your goal.” The more you enjoy the process of accomplishing your goals, the more your baseline changes. Another way is balancing your goals among the 8 essential needs of happiness (money and material things are only 1 of the 8)
